A short timeline of Bill’s Rainbow Sightings.
Something amazing happened while Bill Ulrich was sitting on his lanai, pondering the life choices he had made and trying to find a way to rekindle his relationship with his adult children. Depressed and lonely, he was trying to find something meaningful to do with his life. And then it happened. He could see a rainbow forming in the distance and it kept moving closer and closer to him on the Caloosahatchee River in Cape Coral, Florida.
He called his daughter and gave her a description of what he was seeing. “It’s unbelievable” he shouted. This wasn’t an ordinary rainbow, but one that hovered about 200 feet from his residence near Jaycee Park. This began his journey to find meaning in how the rainbow would guide him. After much deep contemplation, he realized that the rainbow wanted him to do good in the world. And so the journey began with much curiosity, amazement and constant personal questioning of his belief about its meaning.
Could it happen again? A second rainbow moved closer and closer to Bill as he sat on his lanai. This one was even closer than the first rainbow that he had seen a month earlier. It couldn’t be a coincidence. The rainbow must really be trying to tell him something. He believed that he was supposed to do good in the world and that the rainbow would guide him. He hired a researcher to find out about people who have had amazing rainbow experiences. He hired others to work for him to find the best ways to make the world a better place.
How close can a rainbow get to Bill’s lanai? Thirty feet away at its closest point is pretty close. It is at that distance that Bill and several assistants saw the rainbow hovering over algae on the water that is such a problem in SW Florida. He thought the rainbow might be telling him to raise awareness of this issue in some way. Bill’s journey continues with much curiosity, amazement and gratitude to the rainbow for guiding him and confirming to him that he is on the right track.
This is a diagram of how far each of the rainbows was in relation to Bill’s residence in Cape Coral near Jaycee Park. As you can see, each sighting brought the rainbow closer and closer to him. And each day, Bill was brought closer and closer to his intention of making the world a better place.
